I just acquired my first Girard Perregaux, as well as my first square shaped watch.
I look forward to the versatility of changing straps to fit my mood and thought I'd share a few photos.
The dark blue alligator strap that came with the watch is very nice with a matte finish. The end with the spring-bar is nicely bolstered and I wish brands offered more options for naturally curved/formed-fitting straps.
The matte grey photo is embossed leather, the glossy grey is real alligator.
The matte dark blue is a custom Jean Rousseau leather that I had ordered for a 45mm Radiomir. By the way, I sold the Radiomir and this strap is too wide at 26mm to fit the GP, which is 24mm. I would like to sell it, so please make me an offer if you would like a beautiful strap to add to your collection! ))
