Stowa Flieger....back from service
Here is my Stowa Flieger Klassik 40mm...just got it back today from service at Stowa. This is a piece from 2017. STOWA celebrated their 90th anniversary in 2017 and had some limited edition models. They had various combinations you could specify and made 90 pieces of each combo. I selected the 40mm, handwound, no logo, no date. I wanted a clean look, all function, as per the intent and purpose of Flieger watches.

Yes, that was one of the features of the limited models...the 'old radium' superluminova which has the 'aged' creamier look instead of the white in the regular models. It's a great watch and fantastic value. Enjoy yours!!

Nice Strap! I started collecting in 2017....this 90th anniversary Flieger was my 1st Mechanical watch. Will be interesting what they have in store in 2027...for their 100th anniversary!

Do you have a photo of the movement? I may get a Flieger Klassik 6498 but I am a big scared about the size (41mm). I wish they were 36mm. I don't like big pilot watch (sorry IWC with your 48mm big pilot!?!?) Best, E.
Yes, the 6498 wears quite a bit bigger than the Klassik 40mm
I have the Limited Flieger Bronze 6497, same dimensions as the 6498. It's not so much the 41mm, rather 12.8mm height that makes it feel substantially bigger. It is much thicker than the 10.2mm of the Klassik 40mm. The Unitas 6498 movement is quite big and...
