This car was so clean, so shiny, so bright it gleamed in the parking lot compared to all the others around it.



Including this brand-new Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi

Not as dramatic as the old winged monsters of the 60's but still a pretty nice ride. In fact, we talked to the owner and he shared that this was his second one - the first was stolen a week after he bought it.



I wondered if there was a Mopar meeting going on, because this Hemi Challenger was just 8-10 cars over.



Also brand-new. What are these muscle car guys doing in our neighborhood?



Now let's switch to one of the first SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE - the 1st-generation Jeep Cherokee from around 1974. This 2-door configuration looks smooth and clean but wasn't that practical for back seat loading.





And here's an even larger Sport Utility, a Chevy Suburban 2-door. Also exceptionally awkward to load the back (child seat occupied here)



This one has a nice low stance and makes a good mild rat rod.



A VW squareback used to be common around here in the Seventies but seems almost extinct now...

While on a visit to see elderly relatives, my wife and her sister spotted the Buick

We saw this Chevy pickup with 22" rims in the back. On the way to the tire store, perhaps??
