Rules and Etiquette of the Patek Philippe Forum
Here are the rules:
1. Break the rules you get banned- no warning ⚠️
I want quality of discussion not quantity
E.g.
A blanket statement, no fact or evidence or statistics
I gave the OP a chance:
I produce facts, still waiting to hear a response.... gone quiet 🤫
Statement without fact=instant ban
2. Discussion can be had and opinions given when provided with a review
Eg if you compare a AP Royal Oak Jumbo v Patek 5711 with good pictures, statistics etc and come to a conclusion that the Royal Oak is a better watch, then that's a valid point of view
Just making a statement like : the Nautilus is crap the Royal Oak is better finished : with no evidence=Instant ban
3. You don’t have to like Patek Philippe. You don’t have to spend your hard earned money on one. You can detest them infact: but you don’t disrespect the brand and its collectors here: instant ban if you do
4. As per 3: but applies to all other brands- don’t come here and say PP are great but AP or ALS or anyone including Timex are crap
5. Watch reviews comparing watches with pictures, facts etc most definitely welcome
6. Comparing different Patek’s of all era welcome: if you think a cal 12’120” is better than a cal 215 and wish to show off your lovely piece, please do
7. Respect for others: not negotiable- any disrespect=instant ban
So statement like this:
Without back up evidence=ban
Btw: Patek facilities at Fluckiger make the dials for other manufacturers too....
Please demonstrate the unorganised mess or guess what- BAN

A bit excessive and dictatorial for a watch forum?
This is a "luxury hobby" for want of a better word. Not a visit to the Doctor or some political crisis debate. Not sure such heavy handedness is really required.

Not sure about this rule. Critic and Criticism shud be welcome and is part of free speech. Not even sure why if anyone, shud be personally offended if Patek or AP is criticized. Mod can call out..
