Questions (many) about the RM002

I am already 99% convinced that I need to add the RM002 to my collection!

Totally impressed with the philosophy and approach.

It belongs in another facet of watchmaking, and would make excellent companions to the traditional artisan (Dufour) and the contemporary artist ( Halter) both in the extremes of their peers....also ideal, one is a simple (simplicity)watch, another a perpetual (antiqua), and finally a RM tourbillon!

Being an extremely expensive "investment"( BTW I really think that RM watches may become the next Rolex/Patek in resale )...I want to know if there are any weak points in the RM002 at the moment.

Would waiting for an RM001 to appear in the used market be wiser...although I suspect that it may cost more than what it was originally sold for.

Should I wait for RM to launch another tourbillon?

I rarely if ever sell my watches at this end of the spectrum, so it must be ONE RM, and only one, too expensive to own two!

I have seriously narrowed it down to RM002 simply because I want the damned tourbillon mechanism....its so uber cool techy in its own way.

I forgot to add....one concern is that the RM 002 appears less "hand made" than the tourbillons from the other houses ( Journe, Roth and GP )...is this just a perception or is this watch more adaptable to CNC lathes and machines? Could it just be the "techno" appearance of the watch?

My other bug bear is the "all tech and no art" question that crops up time and again in the RM's designs.

What do you think Theodore?
