PAM 240 vs. PAM 176 vs. PAM 177

Firstly, this is my first post so please bear with me!  I am looking to purchase my 1st Panerai, having admired Panerai from a far for many years.  However, I have always viewed the watch as aspirational purchase and never put much thought into which one to buy becuase I couldn't afford one! 

Now I have decided I will be purchasing a new one within the next 6 months  and probably after Baselword. Talking of which, does anyone have any  ITK on what will be discontinued (an AD mentioned to me that this happens every year without warning. Does it happen to the popular models?)  plus any new models to be launched  in the Ti range?

I know the pros and cons of the Historic vs. Contemporary range. Including sandwich dials(which I admire greatly), vs modern dials and clasp vs. buckle debate. etc.. and know that the PAM 240 is a different "look" to the PAM 176 and PAM177.  But I recently tried the PAM 176 at a AD and it certainly sang to me!

However, I am not in any rush to purchase  it and want to make an educated decision after trying on all three PAMs before deciding on which one to go for.

The question I have for you all is, has anyone had the same issues with these specific models, I would be keen to hear your thoughts on what they look like in the flesh? Also the difference in dial colouring(comparing all three) which is hard to tell from the official website.

BTW- I have not totally ruled out the controversial option of a PAM 282 ( hard to tell the shade of blue from the web).  Any thougths on this vs PAM 240?

Just to throw a spanner in the works,  I am not a fan of the shinny finishing on the SS model but understand that some of the SS models have a brushed finish.  Can anyone tell me which PAM models that are SS and have a brushed finished? (not the discontinued ones but all the 44mm and 40mm pls).

Thats all for now folks, really wanted to get my thoughts out there to try and help me come to a sensible decision.
