Nice pieces of art on a watch
The whole LUC urushi series is amazing. My favorite remains the Jungle dial. This Year of the Monkey is pretty nice too with nice combinations of colors. Thank for the post MTF Cheers Robin
I think Chopard started the Eastern Zodiac Japanese Lacquer series with Snake
I can't be sure but I think Chopard started the Eastern Zodiac series with the Snake for 2013 and followed by Horse and Goat. Chopard XP Urushi Snake 2016 is Year of the Monkey from 8th February. The Eastern Zodiac series start is the Year of the Rat but ...

The Monkey dial is pretty good. My question is where can this type of monkey be found ? Japan ? BTW, Same as Robin, my favorite is the jungle ! Cheers, Gordon
May be similar to Japanese Macaque?
Gordon, I guess the nearest visage is the Japanese Macaque that likes hot springs. Although the artist would probably say its a generic representation of a monkey in Eastern mythology like Sun Wu Kung. Regards, MTF ...
