Hi there,
I'm new to the world of Omega (and watches in general) and am looking for some advice on buying a vintage Omega watch.
I've currently got my eye on a mens late 60's/early 70's Auto Omega Cosmic (sorry can't recall if it's a Seamaster or not). It has a white colour dial, a distinctive black ring around the rim of the dial, silver/black hour markers and silver/black hands. I recall it having a date disc, but not day disc.
The stainless steel oval shape casing was the draw card for me. After doing some research it appears that many of the watch bands on the Cosmic model cut into the oval casing - is this correct? Are the models that maintain that lovely continuous oval shape around the face unique, or have I just not looked far and wide enough?
If I was to pay $900AUD for this watch am I getting ripped off? The casing has minor wear and tear scuffs but the glass is in perfect condition.
Any words of wisdom or advice would be much appreciated.
