New strap for the Tech QF.
The strap with which it came, black gator, was simply not enough to match the dynamics of the dial. I went with a whimsical approach for a custom replacement -- grey large scale gator, with a vibrant red small round gator lining. I waited a few months for the new strap, wondering if I had created a monster. To my delight, I love the way it turned out! I submitted the same photo in the weekend Wristscan thread today as well.

Tradition and modernity for the strap, as well. Very well chosen.
When things calm down a bit, I will have to focus on that Watch. This design is awesome. And the movement is very well my taste, too, with the micro rotor. Thanks for the pictures, my friend. Nicolas

Creating a Monster
CaliforniaJed, Indeed a monster was at risk of being created. In the end, the grey outer leather complements the Tech look and the red lining is invisible - a private guilty pleasure......it works. Regards, MTF

Now it is exactly the way it should have been from the beginning. Sometimes I wonder how the brands lose the courage shown when designing their watches as soon as it comes to the straps. It is the same with Ulysse Nardin: progressive watch design, terribl...

She works her strap magic just a few minutes from my home here in the Phoenix metro area. It's really pretty amazing how a different strap can change the look of a watch.
