The Piaget Altiplano Petite Seconde is one of the classiest, most beautiful watches I know. But there is one problem: the strap... Most Piaget watches come with a black or brown strap, and yet although those are lovely, I felt the watch could do with something "sharper". I first wore the brown one for a while, then changed it for a light brown one while I searched Piaget stores for an alternative. Yet after visiting many stores in Australia, the US and Korea, I still could not decide. The colour range Piaget offers could do with an upgrade, it seems to me: no gorgeous bordeaux reds, no nice blues, and no metallic grey (which is what I was looking for). Until two months ago I finally found a Piaget strap online through a private seller, in blue, which I have treated with an extra layer of dye and natural leather treatment just to give it a bit more "life". And here it is... (with a wink at WHL in regards to his recent comment on this forum... ^^). This picture shows how the small seconds sub-dial often catches a different shade because of its lower position and different finish.
