Hi all,
I recently acquired the Altiplano, small seconds version, and I have to say I love the feel of the watch. My choice was between the VC Patrimony Traditionnelle and the Altiplano, and I am happy I went for the Piaget. Once I tried it on the wrist, it was no contest...the most mesmerising thing about the watch is its dial, and how simple, yet classic and vintage it feels/looks. The edge of the dial falls downwards, and that gives character and warmth to the watch. The seconds at 11 o'clock ensure it also looks unique and somehow artistic.
Of course, the other thing of beauty is the movement, which is stunning to watch, and it can be wound for almost three days, which is very nice for such a thin movement. It also has been designed for the case diameter which makes it fill the case, and it feels perfect for the watch.
I wish everyone a great 2013 and all the best,
Alexandros
