Greetings all,
I am new to this GP forum and this is my 1st post here.
I just wish to share with you guys the arrival of my much anticipated
(new to me) GP timepiece. This would be my first GP. Received it from a
fine gentleman in the US who was a pleasure to deal with.
First of all, a bit of striptease....
Looks like the parcel has been inspected by the customs department upon
arrival in Malaysia. I never had this done when my previous purchases
were shipped via UPS or FEDEX. Anyway it was resealed by them.
Opened the box and.....WOW!!
The original GP rubber strap as well as the paper works....all in order.
The characteristic blood red metal box (looks orange here) with the
well-known emblem. Nice......! It is a sight to behold. Oh a thank you
note from that fine gentleman I bought it from...did I mention he was
great to deal with?
And the watch itself....a beauty indeed! GP F1-2000 Limited Edition.
It is on a generic leather strap. The beauty about this piece is that
there is no Ferrari emblem on the front....only a subtle "F1- 2000" in
red on top of the middle counter. The brand name "GIRARD-PERREGAUX" sits
proudly just below the 12 o'clock marker.
A view of the back of the watch.... limited to 2000 pieces. 7 screws
sealing the back cover to the watch case. The crown is screw on with
"GP" etched on the side.
I love the look of the carbon dial and the little red hands. It gives a
rather sporty appearance. I gather it has the GP 3370 movement with
Dubois Depraz chronograph module mounted on it.
Changed the leather strap to its original rubber strap. Very comfortable indeed!!!
I may need to get myself some leather straps to change to....
Now for some honeymoon sessions with it. This would surely be a keeper.
Cheerio, hope you enjoyed the pics...!!
