My fellow ThaiPaneristis and I have some discussion on the axel that attach to the crown of Panerai case.
Well, when we took our watches together and pulled out the crown, we noticed some differences among the axels in each watch. Here are the pics of what we have noticed...
the axel of the 2A...
the axel of the 9A...
22B-T...
and finally the 9B-L...
Both axels under 2A and 9A's crown look similar to each other, but the axels in 22B-T and 9B(L) are different as you can see that they are in thick shape.
My questions arise:
- Is the axel a part of the case or the part of the movement?
- Is this all in normal practice?
- One of my friend's 2A has the 22B-T's axel type....does this mean the case of his 2A had been changed?
Please kindly share your thoughts as I do believe it will be very helpful and educate to our member who wish to own the A-series.
In addition, If you have some pics of Pre-A or Pre Vendome's axel, please do share with us.
Thanks in advance of all data provided.
Cheers
