My new Tudor Sub !
Purchased at a local jeweller, he had little info to share, so am trying to ascertain the year model etc. After reading various posts on this site, (thanks to all) I have a better idea, but as a novice I am not certain. I have not had the back taken off to view the movement info. This is my first foray into vintage watches as I have always gone for the newer style. As the Rolex Sub is my favourite watch, I could not resist its cousin. Is it recommended to have a Rolex AD service these Tudor watches ? Appreciate any thoughts.

..Con gratulations on your catch I am by far any expert on Tudors, but I believe the experts will ask for a better picture (if possible) In the meantime, enjoy your vintage catch, hopefully not the last ;-) Best Hans

Your Tudor Sub looks very good with a good original finish to the face and hands. I hope that it had the original box and papers with it. Rolex are the best to service your watch. If you ever fall out of love with it email me! Enjoy, Cronolust

I will then take it to the local rolex AD for a check-up although it appears to keep good time. The watch band is Rolex Sub flip lock , clearly not original and sadly there are no box or papers. I am trying to make it to the Sony store today to grab a cam...
