What a great idea to start an IWC forum which is long overdue!
So I have the chance to post it again:
My Minute Repeater 5242 in Platinum. It’s the second generation with still the nice movement 95920 and so the seconds at 9.
I wanted it so badly since for me it is one of the purest, most timeless and most beautiful watches I can think of.
It was a hunt for years. I had to made a trip to Milano and even to sell a Patek AC to fund it last year in November.
I never will regret this purchase.
My 5242 has perfectly proved as a daily wearer. It works flawlessly and is extremely accurate (perhaps due to the very big movement).

Beautiful dial and numerals. And the watch fits your wrist perfectly. May I politely ask how does the minute repeater sound like? I ask because some people have said that one can hear the mechanism on a IWC minute repeater.

I am an IWC fan. So glad to have the forum now. I did not know IWC made a minute repeater. This might be very bad for my bank account. There is an AD in Boston ,two hours south of me. I must go try to look at it. I hope you have a good day. CPB

Yes, it wears extremely comfortably. The case has 42mm but the lugs are formed very thoughtfully. All the best Thomas ...
