My first Starwheel encounter
The recent Swiss GTG has brought the attendees much closer to some notable independents - and with the really impeccable hospitality displayed by all, how could it not. At the same time it would hardly be a Purist GTG if the members did not bring ample wrist candy with - covering the unlikely eventuality that the manufactures all ran out 😉
And the red and white checkered table cloth in the garden of the Voutilainens has held many a wonder. Amongst those one that definitely captured my attention was this Audemars Piguet Starwheel. So just a quick picture and a heartfelt thanks to the Purist, who brought it - definitely been a delight seeing it live 👍🏻
And if anyone from AP is reading - by all means keep churning out Royal Oaks but something of this type every now and again would definitely not go amiss 😉

The Star Wheel is really one of the stars that AP has ever offered.
I'm particularly fond of this blue dial version. Watch belongs to fellow Purist "Semper Fidelis". ...

Not had the opportunity to see the Millenary Starwheel live, yet. But it looks very appealing for sure 👍🏻
This one is so cool too. First, a limited edition of only 125 pieces in steel (50 in YG and 75 in PG if I'm right) and, then, the possibility to read the time very discreetly.
Why? Because you just have to slightly ride up the sleeve of your shirt to read the time (if your a left-handed sorry). Perfect during a boring meeting 😁 AP must hear us about wandering hours! Best wishes Alkiro

Unfortunately not. I know that you can find several of them in different metals (platinum, yellow and pink gold but no steel) and with different dials (tiger eye) and guilloché. You also have the John Schaeffer Star Wheel with a MR
