Montblanc GMT Chronograph - Authenticity concern
Hi, I'm new to this site although I've been lurking in the background for quite some time! Great site by the way, I can't get over the level of information I'm able to find on here.
I recently broke one of the "Fake watch prevention" cardinal rules: "...If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is..." I purchased a Montblanc GMT Chronograph for a bargain (in my book) which is roughly 35-40% of what Montblanc retails it for. All looked good via the internet (pictures). When it arrived, I inspected it and it looked/felt good to my untrained eye (<-- please read an eye that has no hint or hope for training when it comes to high end watches). It came with a box and warranty card, everything looks legit but guess what, I stayed up at night thinking about the authenticity of this purchase... so here I am.
Montblanc quoted me 8 to 12 weeks to validate the authenticity and I will pursue that avenue but before I do that, I'm looking for quick expert advise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm also planning to show it to a local watchmaker to see what he thinks.
I'm posting pictures I took myself of the watch, they should be of a decent resolution.
Thanks! Flag

Montblanc genuine or not
By: Delamere : January 1st, 2012-23:59
I agree, looks genuine to me as well just going off the photos you have put up. I own a Montblanc Timewalker Chronograph, bought from Montblanc boutique in Switzerland. The movement and case markings are the same, and the box & cushions look the same also...
genuine!

No doubt about it, this is authentic. There seem to be fakes with asian copied movement, but the finish of these movement is very rough... ah well, let's not even call it finish. Those movement looks horrible. The movement in yours looks absolutely fine a...
