Seems like a long time I've been pretty inactive here - combination of too many trips away for work, holidays, and then too many trips away for work again!!
Earlier on in the year, I got a great insight into close up photo taking from Nico, so I've had a go at making a photo box for taking the close up photos. Its not perfect yet, I think I need to get a better box to start off with to line up black. But I guess, just as with the collecting of watches, this is an equally time consuming progression to perfection!! LOL.
Anyway, my Milspec, which you've seen before, out for his monthly wind up, but ofcourse, will end up on my wrist for the next few weeks!
Unfortunatly, the cameras a bit more recent than the Milspec, the Milspec being from about 1965, and this camera from about 1975. But, it does come with the same qualities as the Fifty Fathoms - rugid underwater functionality, hard wearing, purely mechanical, and very good looking.
The Cameras bit of an ornament now, the last time I used it was about 2004, just before I got into underwater videography, but it was pretty bullet proof. But compared to todays digital, it could be pretty heart breaking finding out after the 35mm film was developed, that you didn't get that one in a million shot!
But that was part of the fun, bracketing every photo with a few shots either side of your 'estimated' f-stop and shutter speed!
Thanks for looking guys, and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Cheers Tony
