Launch of the IWC Portuguese Yacht Club in Kuala Lumpur Pt1
My thanks to IWC, Valiram Group and Swiss Watch Gallery Malaysia for extending a kind invite to this most exciting event last night. For a change, the guests had a chance to leave the city of Kuala Lumpur and have a good time aboard the Lili Marleen, a 250 foot yacht docked at Port Klang. It was a sunset cruise out to some local islands where along the way, guests were privy to viewing the IWC Portuguese Yacht Club while having a fine time.
We were given the chance to either drive directly to the port or take the coach from JW Marriott and I had chosen the latter option. Once everyone was aboard, we embarked on the 1 hour journey...
The Lili Marleen was already waiting for us at the dock.
Once on deck, guests took the opportunity to familiarize, partake in the activities and socialize.
There was a casino on board (no photos though) and also a couple of caricature artists.
I took the chance to walk around and explore the fine boat and the scenery. It did not take long for the boat to be teeming with people.

....well, at least in Malaysia, it is. A 250-ft yacht with full sail rigging and auxiliary power unit?!? Unreal! But there it is! Thanks KT for the report. So there is 'watch life' again in Malaysia; we were worried that it has been so quiet on the Malays...

The Yacht Club is indeed refreshing. I think it's a lovely and refreshing but understated piece that goes well with most occasions. However, as for the recession, I think it's still there for us over here. Yes, Malaysia has been rather quiet on the event ...

He was reminded of it to when we spoke hahaha... The ship set sail around 7.30pm iirc but we only disembarked back at the port around 12.30am.
