Just occasionally luck runs my way
Many of you might recall my endless impulse purchases, the regret and, needless to say, the subsequent loss. For once I think that I have struck lucky.
I have always wanted an early Nautilus, to me the newer ones are too big, and then, a couple of days ago, I found myself looking at this beauty:
Even I could see that this was something truly exceptional. Not only that but it had the B&P with the original invoice. We're not finished,, the invoice had Beyer's stock number on it which matches the minute engraving on the back. Incredible!!
It is a charming and special watch. I am delighted and feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon it.
What with some of my other splendid pieces I am beginning to feel that my quest is virtually complete. A strange feeling, the lust and hunger wilting. Maybe it's just age?
