My first experience with a Patek Philippe?
I?ve admired Patek Philippe from a distance and always looked forward to the day I could get a good look at one in person. I was really surprised when I finally got a good look at a Nautilus today and found it a disappointing experience. While totally subjective, the dial work and overall appearance were bland and unimpressive. Also, the back cover was smooth without a single engraving. Last, I swear the seconds hand didn?t move smoothly at all. While not the jerking of a quartz, an easily detectable lack of continuous movement make me suspect that perhaps this may not be genuine. Although presented as an older but authentic Patek Philippe, does this sound like a genuine Patek? I would like to know if I could still look forward to that first experience and figured this group would be the one to ask. Thanks, chris
