IAA 2011 selections

Hi folks,

Being in the car industry has it's benefits, as you often get to know about the latest models before anyone else does. But there is a show where almost everyone gets a chance to see, some really up-close to the point where you can sit in the car, and some not so up-close ones behind borders.

I try to make it a point to visit each IAA that is held in Frankfurt bi-annually. This year's show was what many would agree being a huge success, with many models shown off by all the manufacturers showing off the latest in techonolgy.

The keyword of the future seems to revolve much around electricity, either as a hybrid of a combo of petrol and battery, or fully battery run,

Another interesting trend to note also is the intensive use of the future in wonder materials, carbon fibre.

What once was only found in the realm of the hypercars, is slowly trickling down to a layman's car. And why should it not, for all the benefits that it brings?

Some of these models shown here are in their still concept form, but will soon make it into production in a shape that is more than 90% close to the idea.

The Artega GT is in fact one of my most favourite car on the planet, and it would be good to see it being introduced in more markets. What an advancement that shall be! The main problem that they have i reckon is the production capability. Here's one that...

Looking good! Apparently the Artega and the SLS is one of your favorites. I'm not familiar with the Artega vehicle (since it's not sold in the States), but it certainly seems to be a capable machine! Thank you for the pictures!
