I wound this up
Monday mornig and set the time. Today is Thursday and I have
had to do nothing but wind it every morning. It is still nearly to the
minute from when I set it on Monday. It is so close that I have
not had to reset it. Not bad for an approximately 80 year old
watch.

Was it freshly serviced? If not, you might want to put it on a Timegrapher and see what the amplitude of the movement is. Typical amplitude of a movement on a modern watch is 250-290 degrees. When it starts dipping below 240 is when I would recommend aski...
It has been serviced but long,
long ago. I wear it very infrequently, mostly to the office or a formal occasion (I did say infrequently)where is is not subjected to anything rough. About as rough as I get with this one is lifting a beer or glass of wine during happy hour at the office....
