I picked up an interesting beater watch...
Stocker and Yale Sandy 490, known for its wide use in the Gulf War but that is NOT my reason to acquire one, needless to say. This one, whether it was intended for war or not, is quite a beater watch. Not a quartz throw-away watch, but Swiss made with ETA movement, hand winding. So, I use this for weekend when I know I have to work physically. Dirt cheap and quite a high performance watch in that regard (mine gains 10 sec or so per day consistently).
