Patek Philippe

Hey! Sorry to bother, but I just wanted to share my new cap :-)

Let me explain a little more...
I received 2 parcels today :
One with a few caps I ordered from 47brand, and another very distinguishing burgundy box, with a name on it I have already heard of...

Please, make a stand up ovation to my new 3940j, Italian dial ;-) (if you like it only!)

OMG how sexy this watch is !!!
I don't know why this one was not my first PP.
it feels so right! So perfect. So thin. So bright and luminous. So "complicated". So elegant. So meant for my small wrist. So classic.
So cooooooooooooooool !

The dial, as usual in PPs, is gorgeous. Lots of colours, shades, brights and mates, relief, and I love how the minutes indexes shine so bright.

My wife told me : "ahhh this one is nice". Believe me, That means a lot

This watch, is a stunning piece and really, really deserves it's fame.

I'm sorry I haven't found yet the good light to photograph this beauty, but I will shortly find, I promise!

A last, a cheap, dark, blurry and maybe useless picture, to compare my thinnest and my thickest Patek Philippe.

The 5140 was too big for my wrist anyway. Didn\'t feel right. Even if it is a gorgeous watch, it\'s not for me. But it\'s always a delight to see a 5140 on someone else .

2016 is leap year. In newer 240 Q mechanisms, the numbers 1,2,3,4 are placed 45 degrees ccw.

So in your watch the leap year indicator needle precedes the years. The number 4 is the leap year. My guess is that the earliest 3940 mechanisms had instantaneous leap year indicator. So it made sense the numbers were placed as indicated in your watch. Ho...
