Havana Lune
This F.P. Journe Official Octa Automatique Havana Lune was amongst the earliest additions in my collecting journey. When this watch was introduced and I saw the Havana dial I became mesmerized and obsessed with someday owning one. This was my 2nd FPJ but it still took me about a year after introduction to work up courage to spend so much money on a watch (back then there weren’t waiting lists, if you wanted a watch and had the $$ it was yours….the good ‘old days!). I still love this watch. And, it says a lot about my collecting journey, I am first and foremost drawn to a watch based on dial aesthetics. It’s not that the case, movement, brand etc don’t matter, but it’s the dial the grabs my attention first.

Our local AD had the souveraine version on display for almost a year, and I waltzed in to ogle at the dial color many a time.
The case size and movement finishing (and light wallet) meant that I always left empty-handed, but I have to agree with you about that dial color being a killer. 👌🏿 Thanks for sharing, and wear yours in good health Hussam
