Ciao paneristis!
Hope you all are having a great weekend!
Well, today i managed to pick up my 249 which has been gone away from me for about nearly 3 weeks now, the reason i sent it in was because the hour and minutes hands were not entirely aligned perfectly last time. (E.g. If its 6 o'clock sharp, instead of being a perfect vertical line with the hour pointing straight down and the minutes straight up, the hour hand was already ahead of the 6, at a position that it should be if its already say 6:10)
So i sent it for "adjustments" and overall "cleaning", (NOT AN OVERHAUL THOUGH) via my AD here in Tokyo which happens to be the Tokyo boutique.
And my god, was i shocked(in a good way though!) with what i received back!
My 249 came in a MUCH better condition than when i sent it in! The hands, for one thing are now aligned.
The feel of the crown when winding the watch, and when turning it to adjust the time, feels much smoother and seem to work much better than last time.
And there used to be a tiny (me and my 10 times loupe thing) speck of dust above one of the blued screws but on the sapphire crystal itself on the back, that has now been removed.
The movement was given an overall check, all gaskets replaced with new gaskets.
And so far from this morning till now at 10 in the evening, the watch is running perfectly!
I'm very satisfied, and proud with the service that OP service centre here in Tokyo has provided for me, and i thought i'd share this happiness with you guys here!
Now all i hope is that when i receive my 309 back (that will be from Neuchatel though), i'll be as satisfied, or if not more than what i am today with the 249!
Thats why i really love the Japanese guys here, and their dedication to their works.
As always, A+++ with the boutique!
Cheers
Stephen
