5 long months before the Freak comes back home.
The fault of a capricious strap, which broke at one of the lug.
The Freak is a capricious watch, in its first version, indeed.
Ulysse Nardin had to analyze the problem, and to find a solution to an unusual problem.
As they discontinued the Freak One in favor of the evolutions we all know and admire, they had to re think the strap, and the hard part which makes the connection with the lugs ( end link ).
And to test it, of course, before sending it back to me.
A light polish, they also checked the movement, just to be sure, et voilà.
It is amazing how a long absence makes you feel how important a watch is.
I can now wear and enjoy it without fear.
And cherry on the cake, they gifted me a nice blue etui.
The Freak is back, my friends. It will cannibalize my wrist for a long time!

The crocodile strap broke at the level of the solid end links...
First the end link at 12 o clock started to become mobile, then the croc strap went away...Broken at this level. I caught the watch before it hurt the ground. Pfffff. Best, Nicolas
