Finally bought a JLC Master Date ...

After months of searching for a JLC Master Date ... I managed to source one from a watch broker and traded in my Panerai 40mm, for some reason I felt that it was time to move on (in house movement, good with a suit/ tuxedo and understated) ...

The deal seemed fair and despite my reservations about initially meeting in a coffee shop in London and eventually sending my Panerai to Paris ! ... all worked out really well.

I also looked at the Reverso 1931 and the Master Control Geographic, but this one ticked all the boxes for me.

Absolutely love the watch, it has the classic design without being too much of a 'dress watch' (in my opinion) ... ranks as my 'grail' watch and I now have the fun of finding a "weekend watch" for jeans and a T-shirt, holidays by the pool and playing with the kids ...

It's a beautiful piece, and a great replacement. I recently did exactly that by trading an IWC Spitfire Chrono, added money and got a mint master calendar. Wear it in the best of health. Best Regards, kas ...
