Fifty Fathoms Strap Robustness?
Hi All,
I am on the verge of buying a Fifty Fathoms and just wondered how robust the standard OEM strap is. I'd like to wear the watch swimming, running, etc but not if it's going to wreck the strap in a month or two. What is the consensus on how long the strap lasts (and stays looking in decent condition) if subjected to the kind of action M. Maloubier intended?

FF straps.
Well the strap on the latest FF's is made out of sails clothe and mine is several years old now, but I do ont wear it every day. I have a friend that has one as a daily wearer and he had to change it after a little more than 2 years. Best regards, George

Thanks George. That seems about right - if I get 1-2 years of daily wear before it needs replaced I'll be happy.
strap question
G'day David I own a FF. I dive/swim and play sports all the time. The canvas strap is great; I always wash it with hot water to prevent it from stinking up. I also recommend purchasing the rubber strap. It is a bit pricy, but it looks great
