I am going through a minimalist stage. The excesses of the industry over the last decade have worn me down. Simple but thoughtfully executed watches attract me more and more. The same applies to packaging. The Octa Reserve de Marche was the simplest of the initial trio of F.P.Journe watches (along with the Resonance and Tourbillon Souveraine) from the late 1990's. The elegant packaging still speaks to me 15 years later.
I've shown you the platinum-cased 38mm Octa RdM with the yellow gold dial many times before, but never the packaging. I hope you enjoy. And perhaps you have the same feeling about the presentation of watches in your collection?
