LAZING WITH FP JOURNE IN TOKYO
It was a sunny, winter's day in Tokyo. After a heavy rainstorm overnight, the sky was blue and the sun brought unseasonal warm temperatures to the Japanese capital. Mount Fuji was even visible in the distance as the smog had cleared. What a gay day to stroll around one of the upmarket sections of Tokyo; Aoyama-Omotesando.
Ah...... Aoyama-Omotesando crossing on a Sunday afternoon, where the gorgeous scamper with the well-heeled............
Here, FP Journe Invenit et Fecit has expanded its showroom to occupy 2 floors of the Collezione building, which was designed by the architect of spirituality, Mr Tadao Ando. The former entrance on the side of the 2nd floor is still discretely available for certain clients.
Mr Norio Hattori-Paris is the President of Montres Journe Japon K.K., who kindly hosted my photo-tour.

Rare FP Journe wall timepiece
Currently, the only FP Journe perpetual calendar. The Reserve de Marche indicator is fixed at 96 hours. The three hands move and the date is electronically synchronised to indicate correct date......... perpetually.

Displays and wall partitions
A unique feature is the wall setting of whole planks of wood, hewn from a single tree trunk. These are in short supply and usually for bar tops and restaurant counters. Allegedly, by using all the timber from a single tree, the showroom held up supplies to bars and restaurants for 6 months!
