Dilemma...

Greetings from Kuala Lumpur,

Sometime later this year, I plan to purchase a dress watch. The choice initially ranged between the WG PP Calatrava 3919 (?), a PG AP Jules Audemars with the globe dial and a WG VC Malte Grande Classique. I have since narrowed it down to the AP and the VC as, in my opinion, these two provide better value. Problem now is I like both in equal measure and am really at a lost as to which one to buy (I've tried both watches on and am smitten by both). Though I considered getting both, I think it is not practical - both very similar in function (i.e. I'd rather spend that money on a completely different type of watch). The fact that I already have a VC (overseas chronometre) also does not influence me in getting an AP for the sake of a change.

I'm still relatively new to high end watches and hence, would like to seek the opinion of others more knowledgeable on the subject. I now that in the end, everything is subjective. Nevertheless, I'd value any thoughts anyone here have on these two pieces or their personal favourite and why.

Thanks.

PS. I'll also post this on the AP forum.
