Datograph Up/Down vs. Patek 5270 - Bottom heavy?
I have read numerous posts calling the Patek 5270 dial "bottom heavy" looking because the sub dials are grouped at the bottom with the the top of the dial relatively empty. With the Datograph Up/Down no longer having the Roman numerals and the PR indicator at 6 'o clock, does any one find it bottom heavy?

Yes to Dato, mo to 5270
For some reason, the new Dato looks clean while the 5270 is indeed IMHO unbalanced. It may have to do with the colour of the dial....black with contrasting subdials makes the Dato less bottom heavy.
how to compare the PP5270 against the Dato U/D? one is QP chrono
so there are design elements and constriants when doing a pert calender chrono, versus a flyback chrono. also, when collectors speak about the 5270 being "bottom heavy"...its relative to the 5970. the 5970 is 1mm smaller, but its not really the case size ...
