Coin watch
Greetings fellow purists,
My father came across this watch over 20 years ago and I thought to share some pictures
and what information I was able to come across regarding it.
After contacting Chopard representatives I have come to learn that it was commissioned by
the Saudi royal court a few decades ago. They are unwilling or unable to disclose how many
were made, but they did confirm that it is authentic.
The dial of the watch features a likeness of king abdulaziz al saud, founder of the kingdom
of Saudia Arabia. The reverse a map of the kingdom highlighting various major cities.
Manual wind not sure of the exact movement reference.
If anyone has any additional info it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Anyone who can identify the watch must be able to read arabic or the language there I guess.

A Chopard, you can make out L.U.C. on the crown and lug in one of the photos. And as stated in my original post, verified as a Chopard model by representatives of the company. H.
Private commission
