Pocket Watch
I'm hoping someone in this group can help me find some information on a Chopard pocket watch I found in my fathers things. The inside workings of the watch say 21 Jewels. It does wind to work and it works beautifully. Would this be from the 80's? Earlier, later? The metal does not look like anything special to me, not gold or silver. Where the front and back come together it is ridged all the way around the watch, I would guess maybe 1/4" wide. It was in a brown hard case, kind of like the old cigarette cases, with blue velvet on the inside bottom and white satin on the inside top that just says L. U. Chopard & Co. with Geneve below. What on earth do I have here? I can't find anything on Chopard pocket watches on the internet. Any information or even just a guess would be MUCH appreciated. I can't post a picture right now because I gave the watch to a friend who may, or may not, be able to find some info on it.
