Can someone please explain this to me?
Looking at the Extract from the Archives, how was this Reference 2526 sold in 1985? It clearly states the movement was manufactured in 1955, encased and sold in 1985.
How did Patek Philippe operate in those days? Was this a special order or did they have an excess of 12-600 movements?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The watch is being kept in a safe and I aim to collect it by 2024 or 2025. Secretly though or not so secretly, it could happen as early as the end of 2021 but I am being optimistic here.
It is not unheard of Patek to used older movements
In 2011 they produced limited number of (16) 3670As using 13-130 movements initially produced and regulated in 1955.
