Caliber 25-21 REC lithograph
When the Chronometro Gondolo ref. 5098P was launched in 2007, Patek Philippe created a limited-edition lithograph depicting the brand-new hand-wound caliber 25-21 REC ('REC' stands for 'RECtangular') for readers of the Patek Philippe Magazine who would be interested.
This limited-edition lithograph was announced on page 54 of the magazine Volume II, Number 9:
Thanks to the extraordinary kindness and generosity of a fellow collector who will recognize himself and whom I can never thank enough, I am now able to contemplate the marvelous architecture of this caliber as a piece of art and without having to remove my watch or turn it over.
What an immense joy and what a wonderful tribute to the greatness of this watch!

You probably meant that it's a very basic movement, which is absolutely true.
But what matters to me and what I love aesthetically is that it has been designed in accordance with tradition (the S-shaped centre-wheel bridge in particular). For the same reason, I also love caliber 9-90 and would very much like to own a ref. 5105 some...
I adore the 9-90 because of the swan neck spring!
I wouldn't say the 215 nor the 25-21 are "basic" as they are indeed very nice movements. And as a person who nearly acquired a 5124 model (which has the 25-21 movement), I do admit that I like both movements. They're also super modern movement - 28,800 VP...
Yes, the regulator spring of the 9-90 Is a very nice feature,

One is in UK, not in great condition.
