The Boston area PuristS returned to one of our favorite casual restaurants in the city: Les Zygomates.

Art, Scott, and I arrive about an hour early to continue our sampling different Ales being offered in the city. To our pleasant surprise Mark was already there. I never met Mark before but when I saw a gentleman drinking a martini wearing a JLC master tourbillon I thought he must be a Purist....and I was right! Here is Scott admiring Mark's GO aviator

I was looking forward to meeting Ginger. She brought her wonderful husband who was extremely supportive of her new hobby.

Ginger's newest acquisition, a vintage JLC. Her next? A Nubeo. What a wonderful diverse taste in timepieces. From vintage to modern, traditional to organic designs...no wonder she and Graham correspond often.

Ginger's
Ginger's Grand Seiko. Her husband was sporting another GS.
Joey also got a kitchen pass from his family for the evening. He was sporting a few GOs in honor of Art's visit.

We had 16 PuristS attending this time...6 months ago it was only Bill, Aaron, and myself. I didn't even have time to talk to everyone.
A few of the watches from the evening. I purposely asked members to only bring 3-4 watches at most to share. While I had vetted the new members, I was extremely worried about the busy crowd at Les Zygomates on Friday night. I didn't want 50-60 watches floating around.
My Villemont Ultime fresh back from service...An incredible service experience which needs to be told as another post by itself. I wish other brands could be as attentive to their aftersales department.

My favorite of the evening, George's RD. Notice the arrow tipped counter hands and the domed tail on the seconds hand. There are so many nice details on this watch.

Another microrotor
!

It cannot be a Purist event without some timepieces from independent watchmakers. A Sarpaneva K3

A Thomas Prescher Sculptura Una with a hand engraved movement and rotor

A brand that I have not heard of and an interesting watch with an unique rotational time display.

Finally after an hour of mingling we all sat down to dinner...
Just a quick shot of a few other members.

I was so busy talking with the people around me that I forgot to take pictures of the PuristS sitting around me or the food. I hope everyone pitches in with their pictures and comments.
To everyone who attended, a sincere thank you. It is not often that I get to have some "selfish" time away from the family. To spend it with such wonderful people and to enjoy so many nice watches is truly an indulgence.
Time really did fly. Until we meet at GTG#4.
Best, Mike
