Audemars Piguet

Well folks just went down to Miami for the SIHH pieces. What can I say but wow. Every year they just seem to amaze me with their new offerings.

I loved the Quincy from the pictures but on the wrist I wasn't in love. Still a great piece but I just can't break away from the offshores. However the contributions that go along with this watch make it a winner. Great cause!

Grand Prix is really just an insane watch. You guys all know the details. It's massive but still comfortable on the wrist. The strap is super soft and there are so many things going on with the watch. Either a love or hate it piece like the Alinghi Team. Rose looks great but I gravitate towards the carbon model. The platinum weighs a ton.

BTW seeing the new carbon and having my Alinghi with me on this trip really made me fall in love all over again with my Alinghi. It has always been one of my favorite pieces but seeing how the use of carbon has progressed in AP's line makes me feel very fortunate that I have the 1st model that they ever made using this amazing technology.

The New Diver is really just a wonderful piece. Priced well and it's just spot on. They really couldn't have done a better job. The blasted strap looks grey in some lighting and is really comfortable. This would be a great entry piece into AP for offshore lovers and a great additional piece in any offshore lovers collection.the new strap makes the watch look bigger than past scuba models.

Pride of Argentina is amazing in person. That blue really catches the eye and would be a great addition.

57 is a very nice watch. I would prefer it on the rubberclad strap vs. the hornback. For me I would like to have seen it with a steel bezel. Still a great looking piece and a nice addition to anyone's collection.

The only pieces I didn't see were the tour autos, new offshore tourbillon, millenary carbon and a few others.

Of course Francina is just amazing, she is so personable and warm. A great asset to AP's staff! Will also is down there and as usual a great person who will help with any of your needs. Get down there and check out the collection, I would say call first for an appointment. Not many pics, only had my blackberry.
