Another one followed me home...
I just couldn't resist.
I ran into a purist friend at a not so regular WIS dealer, mostly high end jewelery. Haven't seen him in a while. He was getting a WG 5207 and I was looking at the XXI when he walked in the store.
Well, the XXI is really big. It is an amazing, yes amazing watch. I recenlty went through the AP ROO thing, and tried the UN Maxi diver, but this Breguet is just amazing. After owning the Aeronavale for a while, this XXI is not just a big brother to the current model XX. The XXI has a personality all its own, and its BIG. The dial is fantastic. The pictures don't do the watch justice AT ALL. The detail and legibility of this chronograph is second to none. Only thing I can't figure out, and it's been talked about here, the 24hr dial, why? Why not a GMT function???
Anyway, the bracelet fits well and the watch lays perfectly on my wrist. I wil admit that I missed the heft of my offshore, but this watch fills the bill without skimping one bit. Chrono pushers are firm and crisp. A solid audible click when each function is pressed. Feels smooth and solid, much less hollow that the Aeronavale. I love this watch. Why the 24hr indicator????
I also was told that prices go up in the US next month, 8%. Don't know if its true but that's what pushed me over the edge and made me take her home. Still, IMO a great value when you look at other, top-tier brands sport chronograph offerings. I'll take this Breguet!
Oh no, will I grow to love this chronograph as much a the Blancpain????? Some more time will tell but this watch just feels great!
