A quick look on a JLC classic - Or: one Chronometer may not be enough..
Friends, some of you may have realized, that JLC Vintages
form one central theme in my humble collection.
To me, one of the major DNA components, and
design substance of LGM always has been balance,
elegance but also timeless originality and in some cases
even the creation of iconic timepieces ( eg the Reverso).
Like several higher level brands, another emphasis has been
and still is on precision, often represented by chronometry, rendering
special features of accuracy and reliability.
But for me, there always has been a certain "Je ne sais quoi",
fascinating me with the language of their design codes..
Enough intro here, I just wanted to quickly share a little collage
of one of my true loves within JLC: the Chronometer Geomatic.
( So if you get a bit bored, just go down to the pics, otherwise..
- Well, stay for a little paragraph or two)..
Although I already was in the happy possession of the RG version,
(my beloved Opera and black tie watch), I recently stumbled over the rather
rarely seen ss version, a really nice one, in pristine condition.
- Should I get it, another one, as I have already one ?! - Well, says the heart, not quite the
same appeal - ss being cooler, nonobtrusive and of a silent elegance, which
is bewitchingly mesmerizing me.
- Also the caseback with the wonderful planisphere in gold, which is pronounced,
proud and solid for the gold version, but IMO, with a somewhat more subtle
noble contrast of the central medaillion vs the rest of the ss caseback..
Without further ado, here these few pics in a collage of a watch, which I could take,
indeed for me a true source of pleasure.
- Well wait a scond !.. Indeed yes, I simply could not just walk by on this marvel,
which is why it's now the pair in my stables. Or as Nico and Blimman would
probably say - "if in doubt, always take both !"
Voila !

My now pair of beloved Geomatics, Yin & Yang..
Hope you like this JLC classic Chronometer,
I do.. quite a lot !
Cheers & Best,
hs.
