70’s Vintage Spaceman/Fortis
I have Brian ( Indebtbutontime ) for sending me down this rabbit hole . He shared a pic of the 70’s era Spaceman designed by Andre Le Marquand , this intrigued me, as I did not own a Vintage watch at the time. There were a number of companies making this style of watch: Fortis, Omax and Vialux to name a few . Thus began my search for a Spaceman that was in good condition ( it’s been polished ) and have the original bracelet. I found this one on Etsy and as they say the rest is history. It’s quirky and fun, which seems to be where I am currently in my Watch journey.
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Well all you have to do to see ALM’s inspiration for that quirky case shape is look at that astronaut’s helmet on your arm! Congratulations!
I got that one in LA ( we have used LA artist - Dr.Woo & Max Hanson ) I didn’t make the connection initially, just sorta cam together.

It’s a good question, because there are a couple of versions of the Spaceman, mine and another style that didn’t really appeal to me.

Numbers. About 25 years ago there was a site called Watchismo that had quite a few NOS units for sale. I really liked these square ones and should have grabbed one. Some had red or blue dials. Zeno was another brand who manufactured them for Andre Le Marq...
