3940J subdial discoloration
I am looking at a 3940J that is priced approximately $6K below market value and noticed day of the week subdial at 9 o’clock has some severe discoloration. What are your thoughts on this? Is it a deal breaker? Because it is priced so low, I could easily send it for a full service at HSWA and still come out on top, but would service replace the subdial? Thoughts?

For me 36 mm is just too small. Sold my 36 mm pieces a number of years ago. Despite all my efforts I was never comfortable with the size. . My sweet spot is 38-41 mm as well. I love my 38mm annual calendar. And my 41 mm Perpetual Chronograph.

If you like it and the price is right I say....
...get it. Then send it in to PP for service. Their restoration department is without peer in my opinion. It will look brand new when you get it back.
