3940J subdial discoloration

 By: @Patek_Ambassador : December 2nd, 2019-21:04
I am looking at a 3940J that is priced approximately $6K below market value and noticed day of the week subdial at 9 o’clock has some severe discoloration. What are your thoughts on this? Is it a deal breaker? Because it is priced so low, I could easily s...

That color feature is intentional

There’s a thread about this (“information about the 3940) that was active earlier today. Happy hunting!

For me 36 mm is just too small. Sold my 36 mm pieces a number of years ago. Despite all my efforts I was never comfortable with the size. . My sweet spot is 38-41 mm as well. I love my 38mm annual calendar. And my 41 mm Perpetual Chronograph.

Intentional

You’re telling us that this discoloration in one sundial only is intentional?

Weird

That's probably why they changed it for the second series. Thomas
