Rolex

1802 in the house

Hello everyone

I have been looking for a Rolex day date for a while…  First  I was thinking of a white gold 1803.  It was low key, looks of steel to the uneducated. But the few I have come across had one issue or another that kept me from purchase.

Then about 5 months ago I came across a 1803 with a VERY cool dial and  “cigarette “ hands.  For another reason that  I cant put my finger on I passed on that watch as well.

Then this watch appeared, it is a 1802 with its uncommon smooth bezel. Personally I think the smooth bezel 1802 is more sporty and I prefer it over the signature fluted bezel of the 1803. But with the same dial and hands that I really liked.

So after a few emails and checking of references (this aspect of  the deal is becoming more and more critical  to do).  We agreed and the watch arrived yesterday and I did not get a chance to see it till after 9 pm when I got home.

I think its great. Sorry I have not had a chance to take my own pics so I am posting a few from the seller…

Simple 1802 with a 1555 caliber movement in 18k yellow gold !

Have a great weekend everyone !

And

Good Hunting
