Sam's post beautifully illustrates the serendipitous nature of vintage watch collecting, where a chance encounter at a GTG can lead to an unexpected acquisition. His journey from seeking a specific Rolex 5512 to falling for a 5513 Gilt Underline highlights the emotional connection collectors form with their timepieces. This narrative underscores the thrill of the hunt and the joy of finding a watch that resonates deeply.

So attending a GTG is one great fun

But there's an aftereffect… Many sleepless night thinking about one piece I saw and fell in love with at my very first sight

As some of you probably know, I always wanted a nice chapter ring 5512

But the hunt is a real challenge.. To find one in the condition I want, or at the price I'm willing to pay is extremely difficult

And I guess, that's the fun with Vintage Rolex, you can't always get what you're exactly looking for

I guess luck, comes in when you least expected it

A friend of mine came with a very beautiful 5513 Gilt - Underline dial with PCG case

It was a love at first sight

And happen that he needs to let it go to fund his grail

So here it is,

Not a chapter ring 5512,

But a very special 5513 Gilt with underline

The watch is very simple but has a strong presence

The gilt hands on top of the black glossy dial makes it stands out

And the underline gives a nice detail to the watch

So the watch comes on a correct 7206 bracelet with 80 end link

And as the cherry on top of the cake, the it comes with a long 5 insert

So here's a mandatory wrist shot

Have a wonderful weekend Everyone
