Bruno.M1 recounts an exclusive Patek Philippe event in Antwerp, celebrating the brand's partnership with a new top dealer, Tensen. The author provides a vivid narrative of the evening, from the luxurious setting at the MAS museum to the display of over 100 Patek Philippe watches, offering readers a glimpse into a high-end collector's experience.

A few weeks ago ...

Me and Liesbeth got an invitation. Since this year Patek Philippe choose a second top dealer to sell their watches in Belgium. And to celebrate this, Patek and the dealer organized a wonderfull event last night
They choose  for a dealer in Antwerp, Antwerp is THE city when talking about diamonds so a few top watch and jewelry shops are of course a must.
Patek choose for 'Tensen', imo the perfect choice ! I know these guys already several  years and they are top people at a top location. They sell a huge amount of brands but their highest end shop is of course the most interesting for us watch enthusiasts smile
So in fact now they have a very big shop where they sell ONLY Patek and Rolex. Both are different brands but I think we'll all agree each of these 2 is THE ultimate brand within their own category.
The other brands they sell are available at their other shops

Just a small picture I found on the net, showing their highest level 'Tensen Exclusive' shop

Anyway, seems we were invited for a great evening. A great diner and of course we were presented a lot of the Patek watches.

Special guest was Mr Alexandre P. ( Patek Area Sales Manager for I believe 10 countries ) I met Mr Alexandre already before so I was looking forward to see him again. He is a wonderfull guy with a huge passion for watches and his knowledge is amazing.

Place to be ... 'MAS' which is a magnificent building in the centre of Antwerp. As you can see a wonderful architectural design

A nice location, right ?

But it even gets better   .... On top of that building ( 8th or 9th floor) we have one of Belgium's finest restaurants called :  't Zilte.
Top Chef Viki Geunes is after al rewarded with 2 Michelin stars!
 for more information : http://www.tzilte.be/en
So if you are in Antwerp and want to taste top food in an amazing place, this is the place to be ( and try to imagine the view over Antwerp by night )

So it all started at 19.00 hrs

Champagne and appetizers from the highest level
and of course a lot of watches ... Patek watches. If I remember correctly there were over 100 watches

A few random shots, but sorry for the terrible quality. Taking pictures from watches inside displays, inside a building with an Iphone  is not easy
Too bright, too dark, too much reflections  .. I'm sure you know the problems smile

For the Ladies

Some Calatrava

a few Aquanaut

Gondolo

Ellipse d'Or

Annual calendars

World timers and other annual calendars

Nautilus collection

Perpetual calendars

And of course some chronographs and perpetual calendar chronographs

Around 20.00  we went to our tables and first listened to a few interesting words from Mr Alexandre, he was interviewed by a local television star and the more or less 75 guests enjoyed his speech.

A few shots from the wonderful food we got served

I just realize I missed a few plates but these already give you a good impression I suppose

Between courses some beautiful ladies showed us more watches

And afterwards we were invited to the dessert buffet. Again food from the highest level and an abundance of choice

On the background some lounge music

unfortunately all good things come to an end and after midnight we went back home

One more great gesture, when we left we all got a little bag. A nice leather agenda for the gentleman and a nice big wallet for the ladies

THANK YOU
'Tensen Exclusive' and their entire staff
'Patek Philippe' and especially Mr Alexandre P
And of course Chef Viki Geunes and his crew from Restaurant 't Zilte

Last but not least  ..... Within a few hours I'm going back to Antwerp ... to pick up a great watch.
Not just any watch ... A GREAT watch !!!
More about this later today and I promise you to take better pics from that specific watch ;-)

Of mechanical watches, Bruno. I bought my first nice watch there in June 2005 – when I did not even know they already came with transparent backs – at this store: But it was larger back then. About magic, it will happen to me when I’m able to buy a Patek, though it must be the 2 nd run of it, since I need to get a Lange 1 first. Thank you for the great report and pictures! Best! Marcelo

Bruno, thanks a lot for the time you spent writing the very nice article and posting all the photos. I know it is not always easy to take pictures during such events but it helps a lot "living" the event from our chair. You did great and I'm glad you didn't decide to hold back your pictures. This is indeed quite a major event in the way it was organised with all these watches. However, when I saw the watch you picked up, well... Huge Congratz and I'm glad that someone like you obtained it. We ar
