Horology75 shares his excitement over acquiring a H. Moser & Cie. Monard in Palladium, a significant find due to its Straumann Double Hairspring, a feature Moser has largely discontinued for standard models. He praises the watch's finishing, case design, and especially its fume dial, inviting fellow independent watch collectors to appreciate this unique piece.

To all the fellow indie collectors!
Finally i was convinced by our favorite moderator Hororgasm to go for Moser asap as they have stopped the production of watches with Straumann Double Hairspring & in future it will be limited to high end models. I was sad that moser stood amongst all due to this and has gone step backwards by ditching this. I finally found a Monard Palladium after extensive search and this piece would not have been possible without my brother AbuLayan (Fellow Purist & a great gentleman). The monard is with the legandary straumann hairspring and has the quality of keeping accurate time keeping.
Iam very impressed with the finishing and design of the case and above all the fume dial is to die for..Not so impressed with the leather strap and the tang buckle.
Below are few shots and i hope you'll enjoy them as each gives a different shade and hue of the dial. Iam simply in love! Thanks AbuLayan & Hororgasm.
Thanks,
Ovi

I was trying to find an elegant way to say . I guess case back would be best. Thanks Bill

In opposition, I find the buckle shape great. The letters on it are too much, though. Enjoy! Sam.

The Moser's seem to be in fashion lately on this forum. Your watch is a beauty. I have the platinum with date but looking at the back it appears not to have the double hairspring only a single, not an expert but I wonder what type of difference it makes? I'm with you too on the buckle, could be more polished and rounded at the edges so as not to damage the strap. Another disappointment was the box. In comparison to the likes of VC or others I felt it did not match the luxury of the timepiece. En
