His personal journey sparks a broader discussion on how collectors' tastes mature and adapt.

Didn’t think anything of 40 and under when I got started in 1999. Watches got huge and I wondered how the industry ever missed such an obvious “improvement”. Watch diameters as we know have reduced and I too started seeing the beauty in the more classic proportions, buuut… the watches I find myself most for are still a little larger. I’ve said this before- the moral of my personal story is I should never limit myself… just enjoy each watch for what they are and keep a nice stable for whatever my
Regarding bigger dials at least due to dwindling eyesight! There's a 45-47 Panerai in my future 😀
I'm following the same trajectory as yourself. I think part of it is that there’s so much more to play with in terms of architecture in larger watches
Hey, someone had to say it (✿◠‿◠)
There are a few variations, yours is one of the best variation of the model. My force against dark watches is here the player. ♠️♣️♥️♦️
The older I am and the longer I collect... I realized that I didn't care about size. It can be small ( 32 mm ) or big ( 47 mm ), THE thing for me is the watch " per se ", not its size. If it is harmoniously built, thought of, it is ok for me. One thing I really dislike ( with veeeery few exceptions ) is when the movement is way too small for the case. Other than that, I don't really care about the size. Best, mon ami. Nicolas
